Hope for Communities

What is Day 4 Hope?

To serve homeless children in the school system who are living in cars, shelters, or on the street by helping rovide the basic needs to begin the first day of school.  With the struggling economy there are a growing number of homeless children who could benefit from this minsitry.

Basics that every child is served:
-Medical exam
-Dental check-up, cleaning and flossing instruction
-Back to school photos & family portraits
-Gift card for and/or new clothes/uniforms
-Gift card for and/or new shoes
-New backpack filled with the needed school supplies
-Care bag filled with personal care items

Children are pre-selected and referred for this service/event yb the local elementary school guidance counselors; and will receive a voucher that allows them to receive each service.

Days 4 Hope is an opportunity to share God's love and our love for others.  Each child and parent/guardian leaves with a abetter sense of self worth and image...ready to start the first day of school on an equal playing field with their peers.  Better self worth and image creates better attitude, attendance and grades.

Volunteers are encouraged to attend our Pep Rally on Monday, July 24th at 6PM.
